Week in Review
Oy. This nine-thirty to six PM shift is both a blessing and a curse. On the one hand, it’s great to be able to do things before 10 PM –- Monday I got to participate in an ongoing MUX plot, and rather that just log in at the end of the day and ask, “What did I miss? Who’s still available to play?” I actually got to take part and affect the direction of the TP. On the other hand, while I’ve been good about getting up on time for work at 9:30, I’ve not been great about going to bed any earlier than when I was on the late shift, so by today I’m drowsy and exhausted.
Tuesday night
lildomino picked me up from work, since her car is being worked on and I’ve lent her mine. We stopped to pick up Wendy’s and ate at my kitchen table, which is actually still clutter-free enough to allow us to do so. After we ate, lildomino had to grade papers for her boss, so I played on my laptop and talked on the phone. Eventually lildomino felt she’d gotten enough accomplished for the night, so as a reward we headed down to the hot tub. After the hot tub we showered and I gave lildomino a massage before we snuggled up for sleep.
Wednesday I took the night to myself to catch up on things and have some alone time before I got too burnt out on people.lildomino had after-work plans with my car, so icespark picked me up, and we had a quick dinner at IHOP before she took me back to my apartment. To help get me started on productivity, she hung around a bit and worked on my bedroom while I worked in the kitchen, and then once the ball got rolling icespark headed home to have some quiet time herself. I didn’t get everything done I wanted, but it was a good evening to unwind.
Last night we had a belated birthday game night fordrakefenwick. He brought ewysiwyg, and icespark and lildomino showed up as well. We all played Apples to Apples, and then icespark wasn’t feeling well, so she headed home. The remaining four of us played Munchkin Cthulhu, with lildomino ultimately eking out a close-fought victory. After the game night lildomino and I went upstairs and almost immediately conked out, but after a couple of hours I woke back up and couldn’t get back to sleep.
Thusly, today I am hellishly tired. It's my one-year anniversary withcassiopia, which makes me very happy, although we’re waiting until next weekend to celebrate since she has pagany stuff this weekend. Tonight if I’m awake enough I’m hanging out with Jeki, and then tomorrow and I lildomino have a date and maybe a birthday party to go to. Sunday is my mom’s birthday, and I might help my sister move.
