Last Week

Last Sunday after I got back from St. Louis I hung out with icespark a little and then went over to lildomino’s to hang out and snuggle. We played on our laptops in front of the TV for a while, and then went into her bedroom to cuddle and watch Penn & Teller: Bullshit! lildomino wanted to stay up later, but she was so sleepy she was dozing during Bullshit!, so we eventually just turned it off and nestled in to snooze.

Monday after work I went over to icespark’s to MUX. She made her heavenly cheesesteak pasta. On the MUX, our new Motormaster had a throw-down in the training room with Onslaught, which was fun to watch. My character Valour is next, whenever I get a chance to get on the MUX next. I’m also finally getting my character Mel back to California after her extended stay at the Pit.

Tuesday night after work I went to visit my friend Jeki. I haven’t seen her since March, so it was good to have an opportunity to hang out with her. She’s a single mom now, so my late schedule actually works since by the time I get off work her kids are in bed. Unfortunately, she has to get up at 6 AM, so we didn’t have a lot of time to hang out before she had to go to sleep.

Wednesday morning I woke up early, since Jeki’s room fills with light from the sun. It wasn’t blinding, but it was definitely too bright to stay asleep. After work I needed to stay home to do laundry and just be in my apartment. I told lildomino she could come over if she wanted to keep me company. We hung out until lildomino fell asleep, and then I washed clothes and answered email before joining her.

Thursday after work mishiell cooked me dinner: asparagus, mushrooms, potatoes, and sausage. She’d borrowed the Family Guy Star Wars special, so we hung out at her apartment and watched that while we ate. It was a little difficult to concentrate since mishiell was in pigtails and a super-short skirt, but somehow I managed. It’s a rough life.

Friday icespark and I had plans to go out, but since she wasn’t feeling well we stayed in and played the new Marvel PlayStation 2 game that drakefenwick gave me for my birthday. (I need to buy a second controller so icespark and I can play together.) I hung out with icespark for a few hours, and then drove to Illinois to spend the weekend with cassiopia.

Saturday when we got up cassiopia and I had yummy bagel sammiches for breakfast before finally getting me caught up on this season’s Battlestar Galactica. We went to Taste of Champaign for a bit, but it was way too crowded, so we skipped out and had burgers instead. After that we went skating, and cassiopia talked to the rink owner about his support for helping her start a derby league. It was a lot of fun.

Sunday we had breakfast at the Original Pancake House and then went to the comic store, where cassiopia picked up Zombie Fluxx. We went back to cassiopia’s for snuggles and zombies before running back out to get her roommate post-Grove refreshment. We turned on the TV to watch Dexter, but got sucked into the end of Ghost Busters and an episode of I Love the New Millennium. We did watch the first two episodes of the first season of Dexter, and I may be hooked.

It was great to see cassiopia this weekend, and it’s cool that she’s getting a lot of local and long-distance support for trying to get together people in Champaign-Urbana who are interested in roller derby. Now we just have to get her to an actual bout. B^D With luck we can drag her to Bloomington or Indy for a derby bout soon.

Dexter is an addictive little drug. I breezed through the first season in about as many days as there are discs and now I'm waiting, very much impatiently, for season two to be released to DVD (or catch it in reruns on ShowTime).

I can easily imagine it being addictive. If cassiopia didn't need to get up early for work I'd at least had to finish the first disc.

Taco Bell
Oh, sure. Taco Bell is mockable, but three weeks in a row of Chase the Stick! is fresh? hee!

Dexter is reportedly on Netflix, so you and I can watch it whenever you want. Just ask when I say, "What do you want to do tonight?" >B^)

w00t! Too bad I won't be in Chicago...

I'm still kicking myself for getting caught up in stupid VH1 shows when we could have been watching Dexter. Now I have to sit on the disks until I see you again. Grrr

Although, Nextflix on Demand does offer it, so you could watch it on your laptop if you didn't want to wait. :)

Likewise, you don't have to sit on the discs if you don't want to. B^)

Love you!

I've been to one of the Bloomington Roller Derby bout things. It was fun. I was insane and sat on the floor less than a week after having surgery on my arm, and then was further dumb by trying to catch an out-of-control racer person. (Can you tell I don't know so much?)

I'd not mind getting up to one in Bloomington again, however, gas is stupid. *sigh* Guess I'll have to save a few pennies for such activities....

Bloomington Roller Derby bout things
Cool. Well, let us know when you think you might make it down again, and maybe we can save you a seat. *grin*

Re: Bloomington Roller Derby bout things
Hrm... dunno exactly the next time I'll be up that way, however...

There's a good shot at being in Bloomington on July 5th. (Attending a movie night at the local polyamory group...)

Otherwise, gas is dumb and such things cannot be planned any better or more spontaneously than that. *kick a resident of a certain casa blanca*

Re: Bloomington Roller Derby bout things
I love Bloomington's local polyamory group. Alas, since I live and work in Indy, I usually can't make it to their events. Saturday I already have plans, or else I'd be tempted to go. Boo gas prices and people in white houses! >B^)

Have a good weekend!

marvel playstation 2 game
Well, I suck at those kinds of games, but it's something I can button-mash through OK. Should be fun. Is that a hint to bring it over sometime? *grin*
