Eight years ago today IceSpark and I met at a birthday party hosted by our mutual friend Fayq. IceSpark caught my eye early in the night, but I’m shy with new people so at first I just followed her around like a creeper until I figured out how to say Hello. We hit it off fairly quickly, and apparently she was surprised when I followed up by asking her out on a date. Eight years later we’re still together after many ups and downs, and I’m very happy to have her as both my girlfriend and my best friend.

A Jedi and his padawan walk into a bar, and the Jedi orders a drink. When the bartender hands him his drink, the Jedi immediately whips out his lightsaber and strikes the barkeep down. His padawan gapes at him, asking him why he killed the bartender.
"He was a Sith," the Jedi replied.
"How did you know?" the padawan asked.
The Jedi pointed to his drink. "Only a Sith deals in Absolut."
...
(yes, this is how my mind works. My apologies.)

Well, now that I finally have a shift I can live with (Tues-Sat noon to 8:30PM), of course AT&T has to change it again. California is changing their tech hours, so the techs will no longer be out 'til 9, so we're not needed until midnight. Rather than wait for the next schedule for people to bid the new shifts, they just changed everything effective tomorrow, with fucked the midnight crew because they suddenly can't have early bird parking, so they'll hhave to pay an extra $100 a montht to park, and everyone who had plans before work are fucked, etc. So they're crying foul and want to bid a new shift. If they all abdandon the late shift, I'll get sucked into the vaccuum and go back to until-10PM every night. >B(

I'm in a rather good mood this morning. I had a nice, quiet night with stephaniebcl, and I don't have a headache for a change. I expected the drive in to be horrible because of the Super Bowl, but it wound up not being that bad at all.
Unfortunately work is getting stressful, so I hope my good mood can hold out the rest of the day.
